A new family member

On Monday when driving, we noticed an orange, furry bump on the road. A closer look revealed a Persian cat. Definitely someones ex pet. Not really sure how this poor thing ended in the midst of a road in a forest, but my honest guess is that someone just didn't want her anymore and just dumped her. Very skinny, only skin and bones, quite shaggy, a few wounds, hair missing around the neck and a bad smell... very bad. A visit to the vet, who said she is quite good and then home. Now she is a part of our family, at least until she has recovered. Today she ended in a bath, so at least she ain't smelling so bad anymore. Here she is just after the bath and before the hair dryer...

Looking on the ground

Lovely spring flowers are popping up here and there. Usually we notice flowers if they are enough large to see, like for example this daisy...

But occasionally you really have to kneel down and "kiss" the ground to see some really beautiful flowers. Here's a couple of very tiny but wonderful flowers...

When shooting plants on the ground level you really appreciate a right angle viewfinder or an articulated screen on you camera.
